Hampstead Heath and Golders Green cafes handed over to big chain
In the week before Christmas the Corporation of London has told the owners of cafes at Parliament Hill and Golders Hill park they have a month to hand over their premises to Daisy Green, an Australian backed cafe chain with West End prices. Thanks for letting me know about this. But I don't want to sign any Change.org petition. FIRSTLY because I have found it impossible to stop them sending me petitions. This is despite my clicking the option not to sign. I have disconnected from nearly every online website for the same or similar reasons.
SECONDLY because I started reading other signer's comments in support of cafes and got doubtful that every single cafe mentioned is so near perfect. Of course I'm in favour of locally run small businesses. But not all cafes are good and not all priced fairly.LASTLY I don't sign recommendations for businesses I haven't recently visited.
Thanks again for being civic minded and taking the trouble to tell other Haringey residents what's going on.
