Which is your end?
Lammy doing his victory parade?
Wouldn't he be doing that in Hornsey ?
My bus got detoured down St Anne's and Seven Sisters Road to get to Manor House - could see some flashing lights down Green Lanes but that was about it, would also like to know what's going on - hopefully not another fire.
Closed between Burgoyne and Endymion Roads. Didn't see any sign of an accident, or David Lammy for that matter.
It's all open now (11.30). Looked like it had been an accident where Fippo says, but not clear what.

This really brings home how sensitive traffic around here is to one thing going wrong - the first thing I knew something was wrong was at 8.50 this morning, heading north along Wightman Road. Total gridlock, I guess because all the traffic was being redirected from this part of GL to Wightman.
Didn't look like an accident.
I walked down at 8.45 - the road was closed off with a couple of police cars, and the doorway to flat above the Pizza Place - Papa Giorno's (?) was taped off. No sign of a crash or emergency services. I thought it looked like a bomb scare or a police raid type scenario
Sleepwalking down Green Lanes just after 8, I saw two police cars and one of their incident vehicles - looked like they had just put the tape up to close Green Lanes off. My wife had walked down ten minutes earlier on the way to the gym, and didn't see anything, so it must have happened just before 8am.

There was also an ambulance, with ambulance staff lifting someone onto a stretcher just outside the OAE. I don't like rubbernecking in these situations, so couldn't tell precisely what had happened, but it didn't look like there was a bike or anything around, nor were there any other cars around.
RTA, apparently - possible hit-and-run. According to local shopkeeper, a man was hit by a vehicle just outside the OAE at around 7am, and the driver didn't stop. Police were diverting northbound traffic up Umfreville onto Wightman so that they could examine the stretch of Green Lanes between the railway bridge and Burgoyne and hoped to view the pub's CCTV footage for evidence. Details sketchy on the victim, thought to have two broken legs.
