Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Interesting article in today's Metro. What do you think about Police using social media as a method of communicating with the community?

Does this count as post-post modern, if Police are using social media to discuss Police using social media?

Thanks for the link, Liz, I've just had a quick read and I think it is fascinating. Really shows the breadth and depth (or shallows) of police work and the massive geographical areas they cover. And, of course, you don't have to use Twitter at all to engage with this story.

Apart from 'man appears asleep at bus stop' - to which someone responded by calling the police rather than waking him up, what is it with all the animals on the roads in Greater Manchester? First there's a cow on the road in Atherton, then later a horse appears as well. And an 'urban cow' in Salford. Another cow in Bolton and another horse in Partington.

Thing is, the last time I visited my Dad - in Manchester - someone did walk past on the other side of the road with a Shetland pony!
Helen, I suspect the urban cow was really a very urbane beast from an urban myth.
Pam, that man was really a dog called Michael Jackson.
