Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This is Jack. He was found on Seymour Road on Halloween, trying to make friends with people to get himself a home. After 2 weeks of sleeping rough. Jamie, a nice HoL member who had been feeding him got worried enough about the little chap to post about him here. Jamie was unable to keep him.

I had also come across him, and decided to take him in and look for his owner. After calling every vet and shelter in the area as well as putting up posters it seems Jack's been either dumped or is completely and utterly lost. He was not neutered or microchipped when he was found, so hard to figure out where he came from.

He's now been neutered and chipped, as well as tested for FIV and leukemia, and he's a very healthy boy. He's obviously had a lovely home at some point, as he's a very trusting and chatty cat who loves company. He's pretty calm with my other cats, so could probably live with other cats.

I was hoping he could stay with me permanently, but my other 3 cats have vetoed that, unfortunately. They're terrified of Jack, and it's not fair on them to let him stay.

So I was hoping to find him a new home through HoL. I would like for Jack to have a home with a garden and a cat flap (he needs to learn how to use it though). I would also want to come round for a quick inspection, and if anyone wants to come and meet Jack, please contact me. Jack is friendly to everyone, so will be fine with children. He is about a year old the vet says, so is very playful and enthusiastic, as well as being absolutely beautiful. I'm really sad he has to go, but the welfare of the other 3 has to come first.

Please get in touch through HoL if you're interested in giving Jack the forever home he deserves.

You have to be the only woman I know who could pull that successfully on Halloween. Healthy, trusting, chatty, what more could you want?

I know. He's purrrfect...

he is absoulutely gorgeous and much as I would love to adopt him, my other 2 black cats particularly the boy, wont have it- tried it before and it just didnt work- hopefully being so gorgeous he will be nabbed- If you end up putting him up for adoption, I have  afriend who maybe able to foster him until hes adopted, and I secretly hope she will keep him- but guess that needs to be a last resort so get in touch if need to

Thanks Karen. I really hope someone will take him, as my lot have now started attacking him! Not good. He needs to move out asap. I really can't stand the thought of him in a cage at Cat's Protection or anywhere else, he'd be so confused, poor chap, and he's had enough for a few months now. I might have to ask you about fostering with your friend if no one wants him though.

Hi Annette. Is Jack still looking for a new home? We've never owned a cat before but he looks such a handsome devil we think it's time to take the plunge! Please give me a call on 07815 903 519. Thanks, Nell.

Hi Nell,

thanks for offering, but Jack has just found a new home.

If you are ready to take the plunge there are loads of needy cats out there though. Just have a look here: http://www.celiahammond.org/index.php?module=pagemaster&PAGE_us...

You know you want one... do it!!!!  You won't regret it. I have 3 rescue cats from there. PM me if you need any help or have any questions. Everyone shoul take in a rescue cat for Christmas!

Happy to report that Jack has now gone to his new home. Thanks to HoL for helping yet another cat.

Thanks Anette, the little chap is settling in well and thanks again for being such a wonderful adoptive parent. I have a feeling our crusts wont make it into the compost bin much now! All the best.

Hahaha! Don't say I didn't warn you... thanks for taking him, I'm sure you'll fall in love with him if you haven't already.
