I use Mr Makan, 467 Green Lanes, 8340 3060 - he's lovely and very patient and calm :o)

only good if you have a car or are prepared to get the bus/cycle but the alexandra park dental practice on victoria road takes nhs patients is cheaper than muswell hill or crouch end dentists and so far for us has been excellent.

Just seconding this recommendation for the Alexandra Park practice. Went there last week for my first (NHS) appointment and they were great.

Wow, that's good timing... just need to qualify my recommendation above.

I just phoned the Alexandra Park practice at short notice (half a day) because I unforeseeably couldn't make a hygienist appointment this afternoon. The receptionist point blank refused to see if there were any other appointment slots available. They made me pay in full up front when I originally booked it, so I just lost the lot.

Fair enough, I know they need to cover themselves for people cancelling appointments at will, but I just wanted to move it - a quick check for other available slots surely wasn't too much to ask. Computer Said No.

Bit disappointing. Rant over...
