hi carol, thanks for reply.

i never knew his surname, he moved to newcastle from south africa, then moved down to london around 1990, to glenwood road, i know the number he lived at. He looked a bit like morrissey from the smiths, had a distinctive haircut, and was vegetarian.

we kept in touch, but just gradually lost touch, there was only landlines and letters then, not the emails, mobiles, texts, social media etc we have now.
