Hiya - I'm looking to kickstart a fitness regime after gaining weight in lockdown and then being pregnant with a now toddler. Anyone got any recommendations for local fitness classes or PT's (pref at times that work around bedtimes etc.) If anyone is interested in joint PT, I'd love that too!

Hi Alice, I did this when I had my son (ten years ago), and still do the Saturday class which is a mix of mums with their small children and people whose kids are older. Lovely friendly and supportive classes, some are online. Vicky also does PT.

You could try parkrun on a Saturday morning. The nearest are Finsbury, Ally Pally or Lordship Recreation Ground. All 9am on a Saturday morning, free but sign up on the parkrun website and print your barcode first. You can walk it or run it. Your time will be texted or emailed to you after the run so you can try to beat yourself the next week
Try BMF in Finsbury Park. It's cheap and very effective if you want to improve your fitness and strength. It's also friendly and there are loads of ladder/local mums (not all sweaty blokes). Classes every day except Sunday. All ages and fitness levels are catered for and it's enjoyable.
