Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Gas meter man or maybe not?

Was woken up at 6.45 am Thursday 5/jan by a person claming he was here to read my gas meter,

he did not seem to have any transport and considering the weathar that morning i did not open my door.But have been wondering since is this the normal time to be reading meters? i have not had a chance to check with British Gas but will do so just in case.

Hi Melanie, I'm a journalist at The Ham and High newspaper - was wondering if you every heard back from British Gas? 6:45 am seems a little early for a gas man! Something I'd like to investigate further! Thanks, Rachael

However, the meter readers only get paid by readings they do - so they may resort to early visits as that's when you're likely to be home.
