It’s always a good day when you find someone reliable and useful around the house! So I’m happy to recommend my new found fuss-free plumber Mark, who fixed my leaking loo in a jiffy. Turned up when he said, didn’t charge the earth, and tidied up afterwards too. He also gave me lots of really helpful advice about how to spruce up my bathroom, and he’s giving me some prices for that too, so looks like he is good for jobs big or small. Just moved into the area and have been trawling through HoL for lots of local advice. We needed a plumber to remove a radiator in the hallway so we could get large items into the property. Gave Mark a call after finding his number on this thread and he came over the next day to remove the radiator. Following day all large items were delivered. And then the day after that he came back and put the radiator back on. Really nice guy, good prices and would recommend him to anyone else.

Wow, what a nice man - I phoned Mark to book him to visit, and he gave me a lot of free advice and suggested that before I call him out, I get an appliance repair man to look at the issue first - lovely to find someone with integrity and honestly, and I will certainly be using him in the future to sort out any other plumbing issues.

Temporary suspension of service apparently....both of phone and plumber! Apparently Mark is changing his phone contract and there has been a cock-up, but in any case he is working out of town this week.... normal service to be resumed shortly!!

From my experience I would recommend steering well clear of Mark.
After finding him on this forum he provided us with a low quote to fit our bathroom and toilet. After a very stop/start process he left a litany of mistakes from drilling the shower head too high so we had to go and buy a hose extension, forgetting to sort out the external drainage and leaving us with a leaking sink and towel rail.
After promising to send someone round to fix it all, he has started ignoring our telephone calls and messages. After chasing him for a month or so we've given up and are now getting another plumber to come round and sort out his mess. I don't want anyone else to go through the time and expense that Mark has caused us so I would recommend looking elsewhere for a plumber.
