I have a slightly damaged 10-year old Ikea Malm chest of 5 drawers (one sticking drawer plus splitting wooden dividers between the drawers) and an upholstered Lloyd Loom-style chair that saw its better days long ago and has damaged cane, both of which I want to get removed quickly. Veolia’s bulk collection service can’t take them for three weeks, which is too long to wait, and BHF are unlikely to want them as they can’t really be sold and the chair has no fire certificate.
Can anyone recommend someone local who’d remove them and — most importantly — not flytip them? Or they’re free to collect (off St Ann’s Rd) if you think you could fix them or give them a home.
Any ideas welcome, or message me for more info.

You could try the love junk website but no one got back to me. Similarly u might have better luck than I did with trash nothing or freegle but in the end I had no choice but to use Veolia - still waiting but not a bad price - £20 for 4 items
Thanks for the thoughts, but I’ve got rid of both items now. In the end I resorted to LITTA, a broker/app that arranged collection by an Essex firm but also charges extra for anything other than a 7am to 11pm time slot. Not sure I’d recommend (there are other similar services) and it cost three times the Veolia price, but I couldn’t wait for them; where there’s muck there’s brass….
