Hi all
Attached are the minutes for the first meeting of the year.
Slightly disappointing attendance for the meeting, I really hope it was because you had all just forgotten!
We have decided (as you will read) to have a herb themed Spring launch event, so if you have any ideas for this , but can’t attend a meeting please let us know! Alternatively if you would like to help out on the day, but can’t attend the meetings beforehand send us an email!
Also attached to this email is a poster for the conservation morning and tool maintenance workshop on the 29th of January. If any of you are able to print the poster and pin it up around Haringey, or pass onto friends it would be much appreciated!
If you are coming along, it would be helpful if you could bring your own secateurs as we don’t have many at Railway Fields, and of course, bring along any tools you would like sharpened!
Hope to see you all on the 29th
Faye and Abi

Hello All
Great to know this group exists. Im a huge fan of Railway Fields, such a beautiful, unspoiled haven for plants, trees, insects birds and animals, developed with such love by David Bevan and others. Last time I visited on a Wednesday in the dead of winter I saw a group of the 'flying teaspoons' otherwise known as long-tailed tits and looked through the fence at the lovely New River. I'll keep following you on Harringay Online.
Herb themed Spring launch - one idea for this, it might be interesting to find out what herbs are growing wild on site, perhaps we could have a sort of treasure hunt (without picking!).There might be yarrow for example or wild mint.

Hi Mary
Great to hear from you.
Love your idea for the herb themed Treasure hunt, I think we will have to use your idea for the event! If you come up with any others let us know!!
Lots of people are big supporters of Railway Fields, but at the moment we are struggling to get people interested in our group. Hopefully this will change after the spring launch.
It would be great to see you at the event.
Best wishes
Abi
