Friend looking for store manager work or temp roles

Hello 

I wonder if anyone can help. I have a friend who is desperately looking for work.

He is a highly experienced store manager  with years of experience of managing large store and teams of people. 

He had a terrible experience in his last job when he was attacked by a shop lifter. He lost three teeth and nearly lost the sight in his eye. His company - a well known high street store treated him very badly and have given him no support over the last year and a half since it happened and he feels he can no longer work there. 

He's been unemployed for three months for the first time in his life and it's shattered his confidence. He is looking for a similar managerial role or any kind of short term paid work to get him through this bad patch and keep him busy until he's back into full time employment. He's struggling to pay bills and survive.

He has a car and is an excellent driver and can turn his hand to most things, but retail and management and customer service are his specialty.   

If anyone knows of anything or has any contacts or even short projects please could you pass them on.
