Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Can I make a plea to all HoLers to please keep a strip of pavement outside their house clear from the freshly laid snow before it has time to become compacted and icy. For those of us who are less mobile, elderly or easily injured this simple act will make a huge difference.

Thank you.

Well I cleared a small patch this morning but it seemed quite greasy underfoot and the snow was giving good grip (and that lovely scrunchy sound). The roads I walked across to get to the tube station are treacherous. Sheet ice and slippery as hell. I think we'll have to wait until it stops snowing.
Agree with John's analysis. Roads are strippery again where cars have compacted the fresh snow. Can't do much till snow stops and then it'll depend on overnight temps as to what conditions are like in the morning. Weather office predicts higher temps by Friday though.
Well luckily for me a very kind man has cleared a path all the way from my front gate down to Green Lanes. Hopefully this will inspire others further up the street and Burgoyne Road will be walkable for all.
