Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

French baby / Toddler group in Harringay?

Hi everyone,

My partner and I are both French and have looked for any French groups for babies and toddlers in Harringay but not found any. It would be nice not to have to traipse all the way to Crouch End, so can anyone either point us to one we might not be aware of?

Or any other Frenchies or anyone interested on the Ladder, Gardens or Chestnuts area who fancy baby & toddler grouping in French every so often?

Hi Blaise,

I'm the mother of a part-French toddler and I'm looking for a French baby group as well.

I would be happy for my little one to meet other French speaking toddlers.

Is there a group in Crouch End?

Hi Billie,

I haven't found one yet - assumed it would be more likely as it is closer to the French school in Kentish Town.

Hopefully there are other bilingual toddlers around and we can set up a group :)

There used to be a group in crouch end in the rocking chair cafe. But that cafe has closed and I don't know where the group has moved too.

I'm going to try a group in Tufnell Park the woman who runs it plans on starting another group in Finsbury park. If there's enough people interested maybe she would be tempted to start one a bit closer.

Have you had a look at Lily's website? I'm going to her group on Monday to see if the little one enjoys it. I think if enough people in the area she would be happy to run a course in harringay.

The group in Finsbury Park will be for 6 to 8 months babies.

I am looking for a French baby group in the area for my 7 months old son. I have contacted Lily about the class on Monday and am waiting for a reply. I would definitely be interested in joining if she were start one in Haringey.

Hi Julia,

Did Lily ever get back to you? There was not enough parents interested to start a group in harringay.

I'm going every Monday now. My little Lena really really loves it. She gets really excited when I tell her that we're off to see Lily. It's also very good for me as there's time after all the singing and stories to ask Lily for advise. It's a little way away but it's worth the effort.

I would imagine these groups would be very beneficial for children who only speak english at home.
