Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Free Turf from the Community Garden 10th Anniversary and Community Streets Event
Message From Andy Newman:
I have been working with Haringey Parks Dept to see if they would be interested in approx 250sq meters of Turf we plan to use to turf Doncaster Gardens and the Junction of Stanhope Gardens N4 for our 10th Anniversary and Community Streets Project on Sat 29th Sept 2012.
It will be used for one day laid in the street to create a temporary Green Space and Putting Green.
At the end of the event it will be rolled back up placed back onto the pallets.
Haringey Council are willing to provide free transport for the turf to be delivered to someone who requires it, within reasonable distance within North London.
Sadly it appears that Haringey Parks Dept do not have a need for the turf.
Do you know anyone who is planning on turfing their Garden or Green space and would like approx 250Sq meters of FREE turf which we could arrange delivered for on Monday 1st Oct
If so please can they contact me asap
If the turf cannot be recycled sadly we wont be able to transform our street for the event?

Dear All turfy types
Sorry it truly has been tricky this and the goal posts have moved too- long story.
The turf has been allocated and I have a green light for the project basicly if I could not recycle it I would loose the funding ie no project
So thanks to everyone and I could not respond to all of you directly but please put the 29th in your diary for a putting session on the "Gardens Green"? which will be built at the junction of Doncaster - Stanhope and Grafton Gardens
