Free Haringey heritage walk Alexandra Park | Aug 3

Spurs community outreach arm has organised a heritage walk of Ally Pally on Wednesday 3 August at 11am at Alexandra Park.

There is so much history associated with the park, which opened in 1863 as a private pleasure ground. Oner the years it has hosted female balloonists, three lakes, a circus and a Cold War bunker. The refurbishment of the Victorian theatre has brought new life to the Palace as well.

The walk will meet at the boating lake cafe to make a start at 11am.

The walk will be following a mainly level path around the Park, ending near the Phoenix Bar, convenient for the W3 bus.
