Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Free community event on tackling tax dodging - all welcome 21st 0ct 6:30-8:30pm

Hello all,

I've organised a free community event with the development charity ActionAid, who have launched a new campaign called Towns Against Tax Dodging. My event is called Love Haringey Hate Tax Dodging - but you don't have to live in Haringey to come along - all welcome!

Tuesday 21st October 2014 6:30-8:30 @ The Cypriot Centre, Earlham Grove, Wood Green, N22 5JH

This is a great opportunity to meet other people in the area who want to learn more about the impact tax dodging has on local businesses and communities in the UK and overseas. We want to put pressure on the government, in the run up to the general election, to act on tax dodging by companies who refuse to pay their fair share.

Event Description:
Are you angry that big companies are getting away with dodging billions in taxes? Would you like to find out more? Join us for an evening of speakers, discussion and tea! ActionAid Activism lead Natasha Adams and Campaigner Claire Donner will be sharing their knowledge and ideas, and getting the debate going.

Our speakers will talk about what's going on globally with tax havens, how the system works, why it's so important and relevant now and what we can all do about it.

Please see the link for more information and to register. It would be great to get some sort of group going whereby we can meet to discuss campaign progress and how to get involved.

Hope to see some of you there :)
