Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This gorgeous cat keeps coming into mine, he's very friendly and has a croaky meow.

He is quite a small male and is un neutered and seems to have a skin condition near his tail and has lost fur on the inside of his back legs.

I live on green lanes near park road.

Well done Sas for helping the cat. It's a pity that he is not neutered.

You may have checked already, but any vet scan will scan the cat for free to see if microchipped. As you probably know, the bare fur may indicate that he needs flea treatment or has a flea allergy, but will need checking by a vet.

I've mentioned to Stokey Cats and Dogs as they publicise lost and found pets and there are useful tips on their website and also they have Stokey Cats and Dogs Facebook group.

You can list a lost or found pet on Animal Search and it's free to do that. Hope owner is found, what a lovely cat. If anyone claims the cat, make sure they have proof of ownership first.

I'm sure you know all this anyway, but if a cat has been found that isn't neutered, it's vital to keep the cat inside until he has been neutered, otherwise it leads to more homeless cats being born and also fighting. Free Cat Neutering

If foster care or help or home needed for a cat, you can contact Stokey Cats and Dogs. Their email is stokeycatsndogs@gmail.com

There is also Hills Vet on Park Rd N8, which you probably know, and they work closely with Animal Aid & Advice

(For any cat owners out there, Animal Rescue charities advise that it is vital that pets are microchipped and neutered. Cats enjoy catflap access to a back garden, but it's best to lock the catflap at night so that cats are safe inside at night as it reduces the risk of them getting lost or injured.)

Hi Justine,

Thanks for your reply. I've just got back from Hills Vet and they scanned him but there's no microchip. They think he's around 1-2 years old and the fur loss could be due to over grooming.

They advised me to take him home and let him out incase he does have an owner and to take him back in a week if he's still hanging around.

If so, does anyone want a lovely friendly cat? :)

Looks beautiful!

'Over-grooming' in particular in the areas you're indicating might be because of fleas...

Hope he finds his way home soon :)

Any news on this cat, do you want him neutered?
Please call again my phone is playing up
