Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Grey parrot found this morning by the shops at junction between Alexandra Park Road and The Avenue. Looks tired, depleted, fed up and needs to be back with its owner! It’s safe with me for the time being.

It has a ring-tag, but I am not capable of handling the bird to read it. If anyone can and/ or has a temporary cage for it, please make contact.

Well done for helping the bird, its good that it's tagged. Hope someone can offer you a cage!

It's worth having a look at www.animalsearchuk.co.uk as lost birds are listed there. You can also register it on there as a found pet, and a good photo of its face is useful and describe tag colour. Here's an example of a bird lost locally

http://www.animalsearchuk.co.uk/find-lost-pets/view-pet.php?p=20272...

Hope you manage to get the tag details once its under control!

Thanks Justine,

That's a useful service that I didn't know about. The example you found may well be the bird I rescued! I'll respond to that. Meanwhile the RSPCA have taken it away to have a vet check it over and try to read the tag.

That's great, Colin, I hope the owner was found.

If not, it's always worth listing it as a found pet on Animal Search, as then anyone with a lost bird locally will be automatically notified by Animal Search.

Could it be this one? Signs have been up in Wood Green for a few weeks.
