Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi, I currently have a black cat at my home in Stamford Hill (Glaserton Road).

It was meowing frantically outside my window around 7pm. It's now hiding under my cupboard and hasn't moved apart from screaming at my cat. It won't eat or drink.

I'm trying to take a good picture but not been too successful. It looks quite young with a small white patch under the nose and another patch that goes down the neck to the chest. Picture attached.

If anyone has lost a cat or may know the owner please let me know asap.

Thanks,

Rich

Well done for helping the cat, what a cute cat. I always encourage cat owners to get their cat neutered, microchipped and have a cat flap and keep their cat safe inside at night.

If no neighbours recognise it, you could take it to the vet to be scanned for free to see if microchipped. A vet will also confirm whether the cat is male or female and whether it needs neutering.

A useful website is www.animalsearchuk.co.uk as you can put details/photo on there if you find a pet. Then anyone who has registered a lost cat on there will be automatically notified. It's free to do this.

I'll flag it up to Stokey Cats and Dogs as they are good at helping with lost and found pets. They may even be able to pop round and scan the cat for a microchip. There are also good tips on their website on what to do if you find or lose a cat. www.stokeycatsanddogs.co.uk

If you have room, it's best to keep the cat in a separate room to your cat.

We're checking lost/found pets sites on line. Justine gave very good advice about scanning for a chip. Maybe he got lost in a strong wind the other day? Please let us know if you are able to get the cat scanned for a chip and if you are able to keep him inside until owners found.

Here it is the link with the following information: missing poster with this cat on it on the noticeboard in Sainsbury's local on West Green Rd near the primary school   http://www.harringayonline.com/forum/topics/found-black-white-cat-p...
