Standard definition only (Not HD and no HDMI connection so your TV will need a Scart Connector).  Watch one programme and record up to 2 others at the same time. Twin tuner freeview decoder with 160Gb internal hard disk (easily upgraded if you are technical, I also have a spare 320 Gb disk you can have with it). There is CI socket and CAM adaptor for decryption cards (such as the Top Up TV or ESPN).

Suitable for techies and tinkerers this device has a USB socket for downloading recordings to a PC or MAC, or for installing apps to improve the device. It will work out of the box but half the fun was adding new applications and changing the way the user interface works.  There is an active user driven website that provides help, links to applications and new firmwares : www.toppy.org.uk

For those in the know the capacitors in the power supply have been replaced already to improve performance and larger hard disks have been used successfully. Instructions to do so can be found on the above website.
