Food and produce shops on GL

Is it me, or is the number of food shops on GL decreasing? I headed out in search of a ripe avocado, and after trying the two grocers down my end of the street, near the station, I then had to walk a number of blocks before I came to another one. There is a cluster of them up beyond Iceland, and I got my avocado at Fairline, (which often seems to carry slightly different lines from the other veg shops.) I'm not complaining, as we are still well served but I'm sure there used to be several more grocers and bakers (not to mention newsagents) than there are at present. Hope the march of the Turkish super-restaurant isn't chipping away at the supply of fresh food.
