Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

We are looking at lining our kitchen chimney and installing a small stove.

Can anyone recommend a good guy or company to line our chimney, and also any idea of cost to

do something like that, do they charge per metre?

Any help would be appreciated, as I'm a novice at this.

thanks in advance for any advice.

I've dealt with Richard at http://www.ashandembers.com/ - his company installed a small stove in our living room, they were a pleasure to deal with and we're really happy with it.

We got loads of different advice about a liner, some companies wouldn't even quote unless we agreed to spend the money on one (there's a a bigger profit margin in them than the stoves and install labour apparently).

Richard was one of the few potential suppliers who said if it didn't need a liner there was no use spending your money on it. We employed an independent, qualified chimney sweep to clean, inspect and fire test the chimney. He said it didn't need a liner as it was in good condition. I might be able to track his info down if you need it.

Hope that helps, good luck with it.

Thanks Justin

Spoke to Richard recently, full of good straightforward advice.

looks like we might go ahead with him.
