Floral thieves!
Wednesday afternoon someone decided they liked the look of my window boxes and duly stole one of them. Particularly proud of them this year so doubly annoyed. Took the one nearest the gate, must have had a car as they are pretty heavy. Presumably they sell them ? Car boot sale? Anyway just to let people know ( and vent some ire). Remaining boxes wired down,
P.S I’m on Umfreville road.
P.P.S just received a summons for jury duty ( 4th time!) Bring back the birch!

Sorry to hear that. There is so much antisocial/opportunistic/outright aggressive behaviour in the borough these days. How can such a concentration of unpleasantness persist without any kind of response is beyond me. Feels like things are at a tipping point...

Don't worry, this has been going on since we were kids, my Mum had her window boxes stolen on at least two occasions and we lived on Lausanne Road.
I think as it is all part of The Ladder, sone seem to cruise through it doing things they shouldn't.
There was also a time years ago where we had two hanging baskets, a robins nest was in one and it was the other that got stolen, thank goodness it wasn't that one!
