If it's of help to anyone, easyGym in Wood Green is pretty decent. It's better than when it was a Virgin Active. Really good equipment and always seems pretty clean. About £18 a month I think. I switched to the new Gym Group one in Wood Green when it opened, because it's significantly nearer to my house. Not quite as good equipment quality/range but still good value.
It's interesting to see the rise of these cheaper gyms. If someone had the capital/commitment I'm sure they could do alright out of opening a new gym in Harringay. Or if you know of premises then the chains are on the hunt...
