Finsbury Park event disruption 2025
I was wondering if anyone has any information, dates specifically when areas of the park will be closed this year for the festivals?
I've emailed Haringey Event Management with no reply and the Haringey website has outdated 2024 information only

I'm still wondering what specific areas will be closed and when.
Tennis/skate area/amphitheatre availability info isn't available and accessible on any of the websites.

HARINGEY council's big corporate customer (Festival Republic/Live Nation) are distributing their leaflet to some residents, titled "LOCAL COMMUNITY INFORMATION".
This "Residents Letter" may appear later on the council customer's website.
Their map shows the tennis courts remaining open, although usage falls off over their "Events Season", because of the Haringey Council-approved noise-levels.
The original, older part of the skate area is also shown as open, but the large new skate plaza will be closed. This is the part that the community contributed £50,000 towards via The Friends of Finsbury Park.
Skaters are not particularly heavy, but the new plaza was built stronger than it needed to be otherwise (and more costly), because the council required it to bear the weight of their Events Season customer's trucks and equipment. So that will be closed to skaters at the height of summer.
The amphitheatre (the Richard Hope Space) is shown as open.
However, as with previous council-hires, it will be surrounded by a nine-foot high steel wall. This has an oppressive look and feel. This wall—combined with the narrow entrance that is again likely to be controlled by stewards or private security guards—gives an impression more prison facility than public park.

I know that ParkRun is on for the next 2 Saturdays before a 7 week hiatus due to the events :/

DISRUPTION within the park—from the council's bloated commercial hires—will be familiar to regular users of our park, such as ParkRun.
However—and possibly for the first time—the council has obliquely acknowledged the disruption without the park: traffic.
Without mentioning the closure of a TfL Red Route and the disruption to bus services inside and outside the Borough, the council admitted to "frequency and complexity of events", leading to "challenges".

This is unusual, as the council normally admits to no disadvantages and typically disregards the long list of drawbacks.
For their Events Season, the council does exhibit leadership (in the wrong direction). The council leader is a fan of Festival Republic's Wireless. in the past, she has several times publicly endorsed Grime music in particular ("working class struggle"). Not every resident in Hackney, Haringey and Islington are on the same page as Cllr Ahmet's musical taste, but many are obliged to hear it: whether or not they want to.

Not yet; if, as I would expect, the council's customer reproduces their leaflet then a map should appear on the Festival Republic website on the link above.
