Community Organisation Seeks Furniture Donations for Finsbury Park Athletics Track
Haringey Council is to consider a report at its Cabinet on 16th April recommending the transfer of management of the Finsbury Park Track and Gym to the Finsbury Park Sports Partnership (of which I am a volunteer Director).
Should the report be approved we will assume management responsibility from 1st May.
We are looking for donations of furniture to help improve the quality of service provided - specifically decent trestle tables and stacking style chairs.
Anyone wishing to know more about our hopes and aspirations for improving the facility or indeed hire the facility are welcome to contact me directly.

I'd like to know,
Will it be kept as a track and gym?
Will there be any updating of facilities there?
And also will it allow longer opening times?

We are looking to retain and improve the facilities through capital grant aid - medium term.
In the short term we want to deep clean, manage and market more effectively by renting out time to groups and organisations.
The facility will be open at times it is booked by organisations in the short term with limited opportunity to pay and play (casual use) as we have to cut costs to make it work financially. Once refurbished we will open for much longer hours.
