Find your First World War ancestor

In partnership with The National Archives, Ancestry.co.uk has now made available online the entire collection of British Army World War One Service Records, 1914-1920, detailing the full military careers of more than two million soldiers who served during World War One.

Also at the National Archives site, listen to a podcast series created in 2008 to mark the 90th anniversary of the Armistice. You can hear extracts from Haig's war diary, reports on gas attacks, love letters to soldiers and the 'war guilt' clause from the Treaty of Versailles.
