OAE, is Kerry our one Green candidate then?
One swallow doth not a summer make. Meanwhile not a tweet or a twitter from Rebecca or Karis.
I may have to think about this with May 2014 in mind. First break four decades of status quo, see how the LDs pan out, then sprinkle in a few Greens - but only after they've proved they want to grow.
My understanding is that that's precisely the plan OAE (and no I'm not a Green Party agent - Just passing on what Kerry said).
I have a ration of 3 votes. Scattering them around reduces my miniscule influence on effecting "change I can see" (to coin a lammyism) in Harringay Ward.

I don't for a moment doubt the sincerity of Kerry's video and blog. It's just that any of us could express somewhat similar convictions and intent, but with less than a fortnight before I vote (I have to do a postal vote as I'll be away that week) I doubt whether we can see any practical evidence of those intentions from someone in a full time job in the short time she has given herself. Others have had time to provide evidence over the years or at least months.
Good to see Kerry has had some real life experience living in Stoke on Trent : )
Ha! She was probably just at Keele and called it Stoke to dumb down for the Harringay massive.

So is that three votes she has now?
Surly she would have said Newcastle under Lyme (my home town) then, as that is where Keele resides. It's easier to say Stoke as no one has heard of Newcastle under Lyme. She also could have gone to the areas other university, Staffs Uni, although she doesn't mention college and unless she was a wonder kid she wouldn't have gone there at nine : )

She comes across very well and a genuine contender for my vote.
Significant to note that Kerry has taken the time to provide a transcript of her video + points she didn't cover and wants to include.
To put at rest the questions about my Stoke-on-Trent time, I lived there between the ages of 9 and 18. I lived near Longton for those of you who know the five towns until I was 15 when yes I moved onto Keele campus with my parents as my dad got a job there. So have lived on both sides of Stoke.
Okay, it's a sunny weekend . . . spring blossom out . . . time in the garden etc. Nothing wrong with a little light banter.

But Kerry seems to be a local candidate with some experience and ideas to offer. She's also taken the trouble to post those ideas. Whether or not Green Party councillors are elected, isn't it at least worthwhile to engage with this thinking?

(Labour councillor and candidate Tottenham Hale ward)
This is very Catholic of you Alan. Would you go so far as to say you'd like to see a green party voice in our Borough's forum, i.e. Green Party candidates elected to the Council? ;-)
If the boys call you names in the playground it means they like you.
