Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Brought a carol song sheet home from last Saturday's (deluged) carol concert in Crouch End ... found him indoors spluttering over this misprint this morning (look under the photo).

Any other Christmas clangers out there?

Have come across this before in my choir days - it's a old english spelling, just in case we didn't understand Noel!
There is also Xmas - just in case we can't be bothered to spell it out :-)
You're kidding? Really? Now I feel stupid!
Alison, I think most of us would have thought the same as you. I must admit that I had no idea that there was an archaic form, apparently a misspelling of the old French.
Don't feel stupid Alison. I'm another one who thought that was a misspelling when I saw it here in Australia! We live and learn.
People often use archaic Anglo Saxon terms when they speak to me.
Your confusing people who live in Nole Parc
Well now (pun intended) ... it never ceases to amaze me the clangers people will drop
and now I've just read that this an archaic spelling ..... I never knew that! You live and learn.
