Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

We are looking for Environmental Education Volunteer Officers to kick start our Haringey Schools Project post lockdown.

This is a brilliant opportunity to gain confidence and skills in environmental education. You will:

  • Guide groups of primary school children around Railway Fields Local Nature Reserve, The Paddock Community Nature Park and/or school grounds, supporting learning in line with the national curriculum
  • Inspire excitement and engagement with wildlife and the natural world
  • Lead focussed activities such as pond dipping, minibeast safaris and natural arts and crafts

We are looking for a commitment of half a day to three days per week during the Summer Term (19 April-26 July 2021) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

An interest or knowledge of the natural world and wildlife is very welcome but not required. All volunteers will need to provide references and complete a DBS check before working with children.

For more information about this volunteering opportunity, please contact Holly at haringey-schools@tcv.org.uk or call 020 8348 6005.
