Hello ,
The summer has stretched and now we are on the verge of life beginning again, though not probably as we want it. Children will go back to school, hopefully as many of us will go back to offices, if we want.
However, those who have been coming to the food bank don't have much choice. Effected by the benefit cap and likely effected by the planned cut to universal credit, theirs is a 'game' of prioritising their spending of money.
We continue to give out the fresh food we collect from Edible London and receive bread too, including from the Catholic Workers Group. This supplements our non perishable offer, which has been diminishing. That is why we want to encourage any of you so led to give financially, which you can on our web page at https://www.gospelcentre.co.uk/food-bank.html Alternatively, you are welcome to give long life milk, tins of meat and fish, standard bags of rice, cooking sauces and juice.
Many thanks.
