I'm sure we're all a teensy bit disappointed as we come to the end of the Post Riots Panel Season. So I regret bringing some really bad news. Plus a very small piece of good news.
The bad news? I'm really sorry to have to tell you. In all 3 panels none of the recording equipment worked. That's right, none. Nil. Nowt. Nada.
So we'll have to rely on memory for the highlights from the 47 panels that were set up. Sadly, there's no watch-it-again-with-your-toes-curling button. That applies even for top-rated Darra Sing-along, the Council's Claire's Storytales panel, and the popular and excruciating London Citizens: Three Minute Testimonials - Ding Ding David Lammy you're out panel game.
It's worse.
They also lost the valuable but vapid, insightful yet unintelligible, apt though anodyne recommendations from all the 240 distinguished panels. (And the consultant panel beaters who worked with them.)
Well, nobody said that solutions were simple. (Except of course Michael Gove. Plus all the companies and organisations lining up for handouts of public money.)
The tiny bit of good news? The UWSMS (working closely with the Youngsters Foundation, the OldFarts Foundation and the Lying About My Age Foundation) have released a YouTube video. It's not great. In fact it's only mildly amusing.
But hey, when you've lost the entire output of 716 amazing and outstanding panels you need something to smile about.
