Electrical cuts during the weekend
Hello,
I live on Mattison Road, on the ladder. Been plaqued by power cuts this weekend about 5. Now the UK power are digging up the road on Mattison road.
I called in and complained and been advised that the substation keep failing.
Its annoying! Anyone had a some issues in the weekend?

We had this problem the previous weekend on Pemberton Road, which was (initially) due to problems at the Mattison Road substation. Eventually, when they had fixed it for everyone other than us and our neighbours either side, they decided that the fault was due to an underground cable joint failing (which had caused a fuse to blow at the substation) - the cable that joins only us and our neighbours to the network. They dug up the pavement outside our house (at 6.30 in the morning, no less) and eventually fixed it on the Monday night. We haven't had any problems since. On the bright side, we've now had the form for compensation through from UK Power Networks.
I found that the best way to get updates from them was via twitter - if you're pestering them publicly, they respond pretty quick!
