Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I've been thinking about purchasing an electric bike but don't know anyone who has one.  I don't want to blow a lot of money on buying one only to find out that I won't use it for some unforeseen reason.  Would anyone be prepared to loan me theirs for a couple of weekdays for a small fee or return favour?  Perhaps over half term week...?

Would also be happy to hear any useful experiences anyone has of using/insuring said vehicles.

I also found out that I can get a staff loan through my work (which operates via www.cyclescheme.co.uk) up to £1000. I know it's not relevant for you, but thought I would post the info here for any other public sector employees (May even be available in the private sector, I don't know)

It's available to any employer who can run salary sacrifice. It's a good deal as you save VAT as well as tax/NI but make sure you read the small print on the depreciation of the value of the bike. The rules mean that the bike is the employer's property (and then cycle scheme's) and there is a residual value that has to be covered if you leave the employer.

Hey Antoinette, did you get sorted?

I know someone looking to sell one (worth about £1500), she's been paying to keep it in storage, Hackney-based
