Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Driving lesson in the Guardian today here which is relevant for our speedhumped roads.

Braking hard, accelerating, then braking hard for the next speed bump means your car will drink petrol, says Sale. He tells me I should instead drive along speed-humped roads at a steady 15-20mph.

I would love it if this was the case. My house really shakes everytime anything bigger than a car goes over the hump oustide my house. I have hairline cracks all over the house and apparently there is nothing I can do about it because the hump is the obligatory 2m away!

Maybe instead of humps we could get that clever artist who draws realistic holes in the road to draw these instead - that would soon slow things down ;-)
