Doorstep scam Stanhope gardens Wednesday 27/06/2012

 Just a heads up that a doorstep scam is in operation in Stanhope gardens and presumably other roads too.
A middle aged woman rang my doorbell seemingly in a distressed state asking for money, saying she was locked out from her house (She stated that she lived further down the street) and needs to get a taxi to go get the keys...Its all very plausible but I had the same scam tried a few months
ago. Although she appeared to be alone I daresay there are others working the
area at the same time.
