I have recently experienced a spate of random door-step selling, both daytime and in the early evening.
NB : Such sellers, if legit, should carry a Pedlars'Certificate issued by the police.

I get them all the time, and they are sometimes quite aggressive. Community Fibre salespeople are particularly bad. I don’t do business with strangers on my doorstep. No one should.

I get them too. And if you want to play a fun game, assuming you get leaflets from roofers, as I do. If there is an address on the flyer, google it. Almost always, it is one of those private mailbox forwarding places, There is one on the Broadway in Muswell Hill, and another just north of Wood Green station. They are all scamsters
