Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Are you #TottenhamTalking (TT) about mental health?

Not half...

The Big Half ...to be precise.

Don't spend a tenner on a sourdough this weekend. Back my Big Half Marathon bid on Sunday to raise at least £3,000+ for Tottenham Talking (TT), our community’s very own mental health lifeline.

Why am I Running?

Because in short TT saved me. In July 2023, stress and anxiety flattened me. Breakdown territory. They were there on my doorstep when other services presented barriers or a long wait. I took part in activities like the men's walking group and from there I picked myself up -literally off the grass in Chestnuts - and just started running (Think Forest Gump but without Jenny). Now I’m running the Big Half to give back and to tell my story about my mental health journey and I hope by doing this you will too. You might even leave a comment in the box below.

Why You Should Back Me:

Every penny helps reduce stigma and makes mental health support more accessible in our patch.

I’ve already raised nearly £3000 from generous friends; family; the wider Tottenham community including the Shabba Crew and Kids Time; the built environment sector including Dezeen, Don' Waste Buildings Campaign, Honest Architects, Collective Works Architects, Hollie Bowden Interiors, Hill/ Peabody North Gate Park partnership; and other local businesses like Perkyn's, Green on the Lanes, and Forks and Green. I have also raised awareness and am looking to set up collaborations with organisation active in the area.

Now it’s HoL turn to be subjected to my unwavering harassment. You all talk a lot now let’s show Tottenham how we look after our own.

Do it before Sunday — then you can come back and argue about whether £6 sourdough is a rip-off or an “investment in culture.”
