Dog Factory

If you want to see reasons not to buy a dog or puppy, watch the Dog Factory tonight on BBC1 10.45pm. The show is summarised in the press as follows:

It's estimated one in three dogs in Britain come from a puppy farm. In these factories, dogs are packed in cramped cellars, confused and distressed, kept in dreadful conditions and made to breed puppies which are ill treated and sold for lots of money. These are multimillion pound operations with a lot of animal cruelty.

Buyers must accept some blame for this as buyers fuel this reprehensible trade, by continuing to buy these animals.
