Dog day care needed from January for a 10 yo German Shepherd in N4
Hi Everyone,
I will be moving to Finsbury Park mid December with my 10 yo German Shepherd Zara and will need someone to look after her on a day care basis (Mon-Fri, 7:30am- 6pm with pick up and drop off from my place). This will be a regular arrangement so only someone who can commit to all those days/hours.
I am aware pf pawshake/dogsbuddy etc but really looking for someone who may not be "professional" but maybe likes dogs and would enjoy dog's company on that basis.
Zara has arthritis so can not do steps or very long walks. She really just needs company as due to separation anxiety I can not leave her home alone with just a break with a dog walker.
Zara would be ok with an older calm dog or with someone who may not not have a dog at all.
She has never been aggressive in any way towards people but can be a bit short with some dogs that she meets outside - especially if they run to her at full speed. She likes her space.
She lives with "her" 4 cats but I am not sure how would she be with someone's cat.

Hope you find someone suitable to look after your dog. I'm sure someone will reply to your post if they are able to help. Zara sounds like a lovely dog. I'm not on Facebook, but it's worth posting about Zara on the Stokey Cats and Dogs Facebook group. There is also Ally Pally Dogs
The Cat sitting group is useful for neighbours who need help with cats being looked after during holidays. Otherwise for any other pet help or pet stuff, just start a new post in the Pet section on here - people will reply if they are able to help or exchange info. I like the name of your Facebook group!

I saw an enquiry recently of a local person expressing interest in fostering a dog on a temporary basis. So I told her that all dog rescues are always looking for more dog fosterers - to temporarily look after a dog until a permanent home is found - or to give a dog a break from rescue kennels (such as Oldies Club and The Mayhew Animal Home and All Dogs Matter and Rescue Remedies)
Anyway, I'll message you the link to the person's enquiry, just in case she may be suitable to offer some help with daycare for Zara - it's a long shot, but you never know.
