Our Bosch dishwasher (6 years old) developed an E.09 heating element error.
can anyone recommend someone to have a look and potentially repair?
and if anyone knows how financially viable this is likely to be compared to buying a new machine…?

Domex is the company you want. You pay a call out fee plus parts. The heating element of my d/w (7 yrs old) was faulty but there were other things wrong too. In the end they took it away (no extra cost) and it’s been working beautifully ever since. They repair all domestic goods (I’ve used them for oven repairs too).
https://www.jsgelectricalhornsey.co.uk/ - they are brilliant and have fixed my washing machine and dishwasher several times. They will give you an honest answer about the financial viability.
Thanks for recommendations - I ended up going with Hornsey Appliances on Wightman Road who were excellent- spelt out maximum price on phone, turned up next day and had the necessary spare part, so all fitted quickly and working again. Paid over phone and was sent an email as receipt with photos of the job.
Would definitely recommend
