Hi Everyone
I have got a DELL laptop to sell in really good condition. This machine would be perfect for general computer tasks just like Document Editing, Surfing the Internet and Watching Videos.
I replaced a keyboard, a power supply and a hard drive for super fast SSD drive. This last replacement particularly makes the laptop very fast in performance and responses.
Hardware spec:
CPU - Dual-Core Intel Processor
Hard Drive - 120 GB SSD - very fast
Memory - 4GB RAM
DVD - running
Software spec:
Operating System - Windows 10 Home Edition
Microsoft Office 2010
Kaspersky Anti-Virus protection software
The Price is £100.

OK the laptop is gone so thank you very much for interest.
Soon more laptops to sell
If you ever get hold of a 32-bit laptop, please PM me. I need something to run my neg scanner that wont work on current PCs.
Thanks, it's for this one http://imaging.nikon.com/lineup/scanner/scoolscan_5000_ed/
You can always try running XP or whatever you need in a virtual machine using for instance VirtualBox
I use that for connecting to various peripherals that don't have modern drivers.
Thanks. I know there are workarounds but I'm no geek so would take a long time for me to feel confident to do this, plus I would want to back up everything first which I never quite catch up with. Easier to just set up an alternative station.
And a bit cross that Nikon never bothered to suggest things or write new drivers or refer to alternative software like Silverfast (which costs the same as a clunky laptop if i can find one). That kit cost me £1000 new, now its almost worthless.
Adam: I have the same problem as Pamish and I think it's because my A-D audio converter is designed for 32bit while my new laptop is 64bit. If I load XP into the new laptop will it emulate a 32bit machine, or is 64bit operation intrinsic to the laptop hardware ?
I'm fairly sure 32-bit over USB - point being its free software so there's little to lose.
Happy to give a half hour tutorial in a local coffee shop if useful.
