Damage last night on Alexandra Palace terrace

Councillor Pippa Connor (Muswell Hill, Lib Dem) sent me photos from her walk this morning.

The damage below appears to be wind-related, caused by the dubious attachment arrangement of a large banner. This information has already been passed on to the authorities.

Apparently the electrics at the base of the lamp (above right) are exposed.

The lamppost appeared to have had bunting tied to it and to a 'flag' type temporary sign which in the wind may have brought the lamp toppling over.

There was glass scattered around at the time of Pippa's visit.

The original lamp will need to be replaced with something matching …
