Joe, I couldn't agree more! It is so important for everyone to look at this bigger picture. The Bike Breakfast was brilliant, it was great to see so many cyclists and local residents.  I've just come back from meeting new members of Living Wightman who have been telling me about their experiences of living on Wightman Road. One woman (a nurse) told me about the huge levels of black dust that entered their house constantly and how this had real impact on her husband's Asthma. She also reported that they never washed the exterior of the car as it was filthy again within a few hours. Another young woman shared the intolerable danger that she and her young children were put in just trying to get them in the car, having to wait for gaps in thundering traffic before she could maneouvre her toddler into the back car seat. This is not living. This is why we are fighting the Living Wightman campaign to bring tolerable living to a residential B road that has been highjacked by extreme traffic.
