Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

To: enforcement@haringey.gov.uk

Dear Mr. McNicholas,

My household, on Duckett Road, is a conscientious recycling household.

I left for holidays abroad 3rd of August, leaving a single recycling bin filled with glass wine and beer bottles. When I returned 19 Aug, I found that my recycle bin was still at the edge of the street, but
had been fly-tipped full of someone else's rubbish.

I moved their rubbish into my black trash bin, where it now awaits collection.

I noticed a tag on it from the council and received a letter from you today concerning this, warning me that if I continue to put
non-recyclable items into my recycling bin in the future, YOUR RECYCLING BIN WILL NOT BE EMPTIED.

I'm at a loss to understand what I could have done to have prevented other people fly-tipping in my bin. Can you please remove whatever (if any) black mark you have now assigned against my house?

Regards,
Michael Maguire

We also recycle at home. I must say not against my will, but forcedly nevertheless (Haringey Council, I don't like things being pushed down my throat).

A few weeks ago I got a similar warning. Maybe somebody put something in my bin? maybe we did by mistake? My issue here is: if they don't tell me where the problem is, how am I supposed to fix it?
