Crouch End Festival 2014 - update

As part of the Crouch End Festival this year we shall also be promoting a SHOP LOCAL campaign in Crouch End and Hornsey Village.

We organised this last Christmas alongside the Xmas market and shop keepers were very grateful.

Far from the media myths about online, the governments' own research shows that 88.5% of retail spend is still spent off-line in high streets, malls, bars, etc.

Many places became venues for music, performance, poetry and comedy for the first time last year and they saw the economic benefit of being involved.

Our own survey has revealed that the festival adds an economic benefit to local shops, bars, restaurants and other businesses.

We have also noticed estate agents using the festival to sell the area.

We believe that the Festival is as much about community as it is about creativity. 

So this year we are reliant on the community to support it - we get not funding from the Arts Council or the council. We'll be announcing our community crowd funding campaign within the next week.
