Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The Haberdashery Cafe in Crouch End have put together a Crouch End Charity Calendar to support our Tottenham neighbours who have been affected by the riots in the summer.

The pictures are of "interesting characters" of Crouch End, like Sue, the Lollipop Lady, and Gordon, the Big Issue seller outside Waitrose.

All photos were taken free of charge by local photographer John Davis.

I'm told that the calendar is printed on high quality paper on an A3 size with a back board and it is shrink wrapped.

After printing costs the group are looking to raise around £16,000. They say "All the money will be donated to 'Harringey Community Circles', to explore how recovery and renewal of the area could be brought about. 100% of the profits will go to assisting those affected by the riots through a wide variety of initiatives."

The official launch will be at The Haberdashery next Wednesday the 16th The photographer and those featured in the calendar will be attending.

The calendar will be on sale in the following shops:

  • Budgens
  • The Haberdashery
