Council Warns of Parking Fine Email Scam

The Council is warning of an email scam which involves people being asked to pay a parking Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) to a fraudulent website.

The Council say that the email looks like a genuine Haringey Council request. However the website linked to in the email has nothing to do with Haringey Council and is fraudulent. It may also contain a virus, they warn.

A council representative said, "Our Traffic Management Service does NOT send out emails requesting payment for PCNs.

"Customers wishing to pay their Penalty Charge Notice or parking permit should only do so using the links from our parking pages"
