Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

 

The following letter from Haringey Council has been forwarded to us:


Town and Country Planning Act 1990

Location: Land at Haringey Heartlands, between Hornsey Park Road, Mayes Road, Clarendon Road and the Kings Cross / East Coast Mainline London

Proposal: Outline planning application for demolition of existing structures and redevelopment to provide a residential led, mixed-use development, comprising between 960 to 1,080 residential units (C3); with 460sqm to 700sqm of office uses (B1); 370sqm to 700sqm of retail/financial and professional services uses (A1/A2); 190sqm to 550sqm of restaurant/cafe/drinking establishment uses (A3/A4); 325sqm to 550sqm of community/assembly/leisure uses (D1/D2); new landscaping, public and private open space, and energy centre, two utility compounds, up to 251 car parking spaces, cycle parking, access and other associated infrastructure works (AMENDED SCHEME)

This letter is about an amended planning application on a property near you.  As you are a near neighbour of the site, I am writing to you to ask for any comments you may care to make, either objecting to or supporting the proposal.You can view the application on the planning website.

You are being reconsulted as the occupier of your property.  If you do not own the property, please pass a copy of this letter to the owner.  If you are not the only person living in the building, please show this letter to the other occupiers.


I would appreciate receiving your observations within 21 days from your receipt of this letter because a decision may be made on the application at any time after 21 days. However, any comments received after this time will be taken into account up to the point that the matter is reported to the Planning Committee for decision. Planning files are public documents; when replying, please note that your letter will be made available online with the rest of the application. If you do send in written comments your letter will be acknowledged and you will be advised of the decision on the application.  More advice on getting involved is given on the reverse of this letter.


The Council has decided to hold a Development Management Forum meeting to discuss the issues of the application. The meeting will take place at Heartlands High School, Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7ST on Wednesday 25th May 2011 at 7pm. You are invited to attend to ask questions or express your views about the application.

251 car parking spaces would be a dramatic decrease on what they have there now, but I suspect that the more than 250 car parking spaces devoted to OnTime's depot are not included in the total. The two utility compounds will be the recycling centre and the OnTime depot.
